WHNJ701 4,165 #1 Posted November 30, 2019 I picked this up today online, a complete running k141t off a snowblower for 80 bucks. i think it was fair deal. so after getting the centrifugal clutch off I am left with these questions. what crankshaft do I need? is the same shaft used on k161? k181?. or do they make pulley that will adapt to the snowblower crankshaft so I don't have switch cranks? wallfish 18,114 #2 Posted December 1, 2019 What are your plans for the engine? If you're just running a tractor without the need for attachments which use and additional pulley groove, use it as is. You can use a shaft spacer for the small portion of the crank and use a 2 or 3 groove single piece pulley if you are running attachments Or you can change the crank and use a multi groove pulley. WHNJ701 4,165 #3 Posted December 1, 2019 all I need it to do is run the drive pulley. it won't be running attachments. my plan was to put in this
wallfish 18,114 #4 Posted December 1, 2019 (edited) Perfect. The drive pulley sits close to the block where it looks like you have enough keyway.in the shaft. I'd just run it like it is. That pedal and idler pulley setup on the foot peg is for the mower deck. Nice tractor! Edited December 1, 2019 by wallfish
WHNJ701 4,165 #5 Posted December 1, 2019 cool, thanks! the engine is in great shape, the guy had it since new and had small town driveway ran it for years til something broke on the snowblower, thankfully he had enough sense to save the engine!
