Mule drive

I Bought a 520-H last spring and switch my 1977 48" deck to it. Then a friend of a friend gave me a newer 48" deck that I put on the 520-H. when I switch the decks back I didn't change the Mule drives. I was getting up leafs

and I noticed that the Mule drive had backed off several times. I think the Mule drive is a 1998 as it came with the 520_H and a 42" deck. I have noticed that there isn't as much metal on the newer Mule drive. It has been cut back on the top and not sure if the metal is the same gauge. I have never had to tighten the old mule drive over once after I tightened it on the install. It could be the belt that came with the 520-H, but I don't think so. Don't know if it is a Wheel Horse belt. It got so loose that it came off the mule drive pulley once. I was over at the farm and had to go home to get a wrench to remove the mule drive cover to get it back on. I was wondering if this is a problem with the newer Mule drives. It loosen up on the last load might have to put so Blue Lock Tight on the treads and see if that helps.

I have an older mule drive that does the same thing. Every now and then i need to tighten it. I can usually tell when it is getting loose because the belt whips more.
