ayeater 26 #1 Posted November 23, 2019 This is my ‘62 702 that is almost completely finished. I’m having trouble finding some final parts including a new steering wheel, fuel cap, and starter belt cover! I can’t seem to find these parts anywhere! Does anybody know of any available? 1 6

ayeater 26 #3 Posted November 23, 2019 Thank you! I have looked high and low on eBay and can only find starter belt covers for K241 kohlers. I guess I can keep looking though. This is the toughest part of the restoration.
Pullstart 66,689 #4 Posted November 24, 2019 That looks awesome! At the auto parts store, a chrome cap for a ‘69 Chevy C-10 fits just swell. I believe with a fuel pump, it needs no modification. With gravity feed, I pulled mine apart and removed one of the two springs, I think I recall.
PeacemakerJack 10,743 #5 Posted November 24, 2019 That is a really nice looking machine! I’d suggest placing a wanted ad and see what happens. Lots of guys on here have LOTS of extra parts. This has to be one of the best sources for all things on the planet. Can’t wait to see the finished result of your work but I sure like what I see so far. How long have you been working on it?
ayeater 26 #6 Posted November 24, 2019 Thank you! I have looked high and low on eBay and can only find starter belt covers for K241 kohlers. I guess I can keep looking though. This is the toughest part of the restoration. Thank you for the gas cap advice and I will try to post a wanted ad for the parts. I have been working on it for about 6 months now. It was torn down about 10-12 years ago and sat in pieces since then however.
