Bill D 2,256 #1 Posted November 8, 2019 I bought a M16s that appears to have had a replacement short block installed at some point. I found two tags on the motor. One reads Model # M16S, Spec # 711521, S/N 1933803943. The other tag has no model number, just the Spec # and S/N. The Spec # is 4552257, and the S/N 1930700471. The block is gray and has 10 head bolts. It was removed from a Wheel Horse. What was it from? Bill Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

diesel cowboy 263 #3 Posted November 8, 2019 A gray block and a tag with just the spec and serial number is most usually for a short block. I've put a few in over the years and the tag was always loose in the bag with the paperwork to be put on the blower housing after it was installed. The kohlerengineparts.com website is pretty good with putting in the spec # and telling you what it came off of.
