TractorDude 7 #1 Posted November 7, 2019 I have a general question about fuel spill on my C-105. I just finished restoring this machine and I noticed that when the tractor juggles around over rough ground, I am getting a small amount of fuel coming out of the cap vent hole. Not a lot, maybe 1/2 teaspoon os less. Is this normal? I know the hole cannot be blocked as air needs to enter somewhere but i wondered whether there was originally some sort of baffle under the cap? Anyone else have this condition? thanks!
CasualObserver 3,411 #2 Posted November 7, 2019 I would pick up a new cap. Yes, it's vented, but it shouldn't be leaking. Your old cap is likely missing the extra layer inside to prevent that. 3
The Tuul Crib 7,339 #3 Posted November 7, 2019 This brings to mind whats on an atv or a dirt bike . If your terrain is rough get one with a bent tube.
SylvanLakeWH 28,619 #4 Posted November 7, 2019 No it is not normal. My C105 cap vents properly and never has leakage...

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,527 #6 Posted November 8, 2019 Most reasonably priced item I've seen from Toro for a long time. https://www.partstree.com/parts/toro-106945/ Here is a Stens replacement in Canada so US should be less. https://www.bantasaw.com/catalog/viewproduct.asp?i=&p=211 Garry
