KC9KAS 4,744 #1 Posted November 6, 2019 So fellow Red Square guru's, I scored a 1966 1046 (1 1046, 261402) today, as well as a 1971 Charger 12. While looking info up, I see a 1046, 1056 and a 1076. What is the difference between the 4, 5 and 7? I can't get a photo on here just yet, but it is complete and engine is free...haven't had time to mess with it. Pullstart 67,084 #2 Posted November 6, 2019 I’m guessing, but maybe starter generator, vs starter/stator, and auto/manual transmissions? Congrats on the scores and yes, we want pics!
ebinmaine 73,015 #3 Posted November 6, 2019 From tractordata.com: The Wheel Horse 1046 was a limited production model to use engines carried over from previous production. The 1966 Wheel Horse tractors featured a taller hood to accommodate a full-depth oil pan, but Wheel Horse had an inventory of short oil pan engines from the 1964 and 1965 production years. 1056 - 3 speed Gear drive 1076 - hydro 1
