interesting to look at this picture, there is a guy not too far from me that resells all kinds of stuff, including lawn tractors , w/h included. his idea is to pick up something ,and then let it sit outside without any protection and let it rot and self destruct, until someone spots it and wants to buy it . the horse above is an example of that thought, the ones near me are in 3 ft of grass and scrub , just fading away. in today's Chinese junk world , how can you let this happen ? pete

reminds me of a former neighbor

on a visit to my parents house I spotted a vintage Schwinn Stingray bike sitting outside in driveway next to garage ; I recognized this bike as my childhood friend's bike

saw his father who still lived at the house and asked about the bike

the father replied it was his bike - not the kid's bike (because the father purchased it ?) - and bike was not for sale

bike sat outside for maybe next 10 years or so - despite room in the garage or basement for it

the bike was then junk and later thrown out

speaking of 'Chinese junk' (and again bicycles)

just this past summer replaced 50 year old dry rotted tires on an old Schwinn Stingray

tubes also 50 years old - so I thought it would be good idea to replace them

boom ! one of the new tubes (made in China) blew apart at the seam

replaced it with the good old 50 year old tube made in USA   lol

I sent a reply to him yesterday (Saturday) morning telling him if it was still available I would take it.  Haven't received a reply.

Myself and another on here also sent messages and haven't gotten any response yet either.  Last I knew he was heading down that way this afternoon and was going to see if he could find it
