lynnmor 7,904 #3 Posted October 26, 2019 The first place to look is that white 9 pin connector near the battery, they often burn. The next place is 4 position fuse block that has 3 fuses. Since there is no cover, water and dirt causes corrosion and then it too can burn. ZXT 2,401 #4 Posted October 27, 2019 In the last few weeks we've had a few guys who have had their 9 pin connector and/or a relay socket burn up. Definitely pull the 9 pin apart and visually inspect it. If a pin has burnt up, you'll know it. Same for the relay sockets. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
953 nut 60,710 #5 Posted October 27, 2019 30 amp fuse and 9 pin connector are the two most common problem areas. Your PTO switch could also be a problem area. Any electrical connection that is corroded or in't tight could be a problem. 1 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Dirty connections. If you look on the back of those ATC fuses, they have a bare spot on them (see pic). A gray wire piggybacks on either one of those two and is the pickup for the tachometer. Of course the remaining wire connects to the center one which is the 12 volt output. Here is the Onan engine wiring for the charging system. If the tach does not work on one AC terminal try the other AC terminal. Believe it will only work on one of them. maclilly 2 #16 Posted November 5, 2019 thanks for every ones help, I bought a regulator from amazon and got it installed and every thing seems to be working, I bought the tractor in 93 but the model number says its a 91 41-20oe02 I didn't mess with the 9 pin connector if its where I think it might be its in a tough area to get at Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
