N875ED 98 #1 Posted October 25, 2019 I removed the air cleaner on my 520H today, and the hose connected to this small orifice into the air cleaner housing base, shown in the photo, came out of the tractor freely. I don't believe it was connected to anything, my guess is that it has parted company with whatever it was supposed to connect to. And looking into the free end of the tube with the spring clamp, there appears to be a very small broken plastic nipple. Generally speaking, the hose end came from somewhere below the battery, but that is purely anecdotal. Where does this hose connect?
SPINJIM 1,986 #2 Posted October 25, 2019 It originally connected via a small tube to a sensor module under the left side of the dash. It sensed the vacuum in the air cleaner housing to let you know if the air filter is needs to be replaced. If so, it would trigger one of those idiot warning lights on dash. The tube usually becomes disconnected or dry-rotted. I just plugged both connecting nipples, and just check the filter visually myself. Jim
