pfrederi 18,719 #1 Posted October 21, 2019 Inflated a couple of very old 6.00x12 so i could stick them on my Electro16 project making it easier to roll around and not take as much room as normal turfs. Inflated them to about 15 psi left them on the floor and about 15 minutes later one went bang. Side wall and tube failure . Guess the sunshine in the window raised tire pressure a bit too much. 2

ZXT 2,401 #10 Posted October 21, 2019 Aren't the tires only rated for 12 PSI anyways? I always run below that because I'm afraid they won't handle it. 15 seems a bit much.

JimmyJam 542 #12 Posted October 21, 2019 Off the top of my head I can’t remember the actual PSI of WH tires. Are rears different than fronts?

Harder and the tyres can slip.

clueless 3,263 #15 Posted October 21, 2019 Far better for it to go kaboom 15 minutes later than when your filling it . Hey, let's be careful out there.
