glgrumpy 35 #1 Posted October 20, 2019 Have an 8hp Kohler engine with belt start/gen. It was in a Speedex. I'm trying to put it in a chassis with little frame clearance, sets down in. I know the B80's had reg starters and thinking I can find all those parts and change mine over. Sound do able? Would need shroud with bump and backplate for same?? Flywheel with ring gear? Starter. Will this type starter mount to my block, or are they really diff blocks too?? I know B80 also had a big plate up side with coil and other items mounted on, maybe starter even, do I need that then? Anyone have any of these parts to sell? Trying not to buy whole engine if have to ship far, but will consider if fits my needs. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
