snow blower lift arm

Recommended Posts

The snow thrower manual I  have says to install the "Lift rod stud" to the top hole of tractor's lift arm. When I do so I do not get lift. if I move the stud to the bottom hole I get lift. The question is why no lift when installed in the upper (top) Hole of the tractor lift arm per manual instructions. I have two washers on the lift rod shaft, but that should not prevent lift. You remove the washers only if the lift rod shaft is touching the frame or axle. That's not likely because I do not get much lift anyway???? (520 H 1997 Tractor Model No 73502, Snow Thrower Mod No 79360)

Just add more washers to get the lift you want.
