Mntractorguy 0 #1 Posted October 5, 2019 My Wheelhorse 257H is finicky when starting. The oil light is blinking... oil is level is full and looks spotless. I turn key several times and after 20 - 50 clicks it finally catches and starts. I’m suspicious it’s the oil pressure switch. I hoped it was a Normally Open switch I could simply unplug at the sensor to bypass it but that didn’t seems to work. Any ideas on how to bypass this switch? Or a part number for a new switch? gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,528 #2 Posted October 5, 2019 The oil switch is a pressure switch so no pressure the light should blink. Has nothing to do with starter circuit or ignition circuit. What is not working? Starter won't turn the motor over or it will turn over but not run? Garry
Mntractorguy 0 #3 Posted October 6, 2019 Thankyou... Was not sure if the oil pressure was tied into an engine shutoff or not. The oil dummy light blinks continuously. Still seems (sounds) like a safety switch somewhere. At least I can rule out the oil switch.
