Problem solved the crank turns freely once again. Now. Looking in the cylinder I can still see the crosshatches. The piston is stamped STD. Tractorhead 9,212 #29 Posted October 2, 2019 (edited) Hi crib, has the Piston a sign on it like a arrow or similar on top, that faces to one side? lot‘s of engines i rebuild has such a sign on the Piston, this must be shown faced to outlet. (Depending on engine Manufacrurer) while you didn‘t see ridges or marks in bore, maybe piston was inserted opposit as reason for your 90deg. Trouble. just as a suggestion to check.
