carlosking450 158 #1 Posted September 5, 2019 Hello in my 702, is there a bit of play between the steering column and the hole in the tank, do you know if there is any bushing to correct this slack?
953 nut 60,381 #2 Posted September 6, 2019 I do not own a 702 but know that the steering shaft play is a common problem on other older models and can be corrected by dding a 3/4" bearing (flanged pillow block) where the steering shaft passes through the body. Pullstart 67,087 #3 Posted September 6, 2019 @carlosking450 I believe there is a brass bushing in the tank. Here is a link to my “Frank” build, where I was working on sealing the tank after some modifications to the bottom. That bushing should be able to press out, then press a new one in (and possibly ream it to fit).
carlosking450 158 #4 Posted September 6, 2019 Hello friends, I remember to see something about a cap for sale for that game between the column and the tank, I will have to make one, it is simply a bronze cap, thanks for your answers !!!
