Then I got to thinking that it would be cool if I stretched it in every direction and put larger tires on, etc. The name was actually based on the ancient meaning of Colossus. I've never been a comic buff and was only vaguely aware of the Marvel Character until we started searching for ideas and a color scheme... At one point early in the build it was brought to my attention that it had a steam punk type look and I decided I wanted "metal" colors, mostly. The frame, frame extension, transmission, front axle. All are a dark mocha color with a very very heavy metallic flake. The rest is what you just mentioned with possible exceptions in the future based on whim of the moment. Here's a reminder of the hood ornament Trina ordered from @Wheel Horse 3D Grey. My neighbor's boxes were rusting so while I had the gray primer in hand, I hit the rust spots. One neighbor actually had the nerve to ***** at me that I didn't 'finish' the job. Seriously dood? Get off your A55 and buy a can of paint! So... I had 'leftovers' ... pumpkin orange, hot pink, lime green, sunshine yellow, that the Treasurer has painted her garden gnomes with. I ain't right and I'm ok with it. 🤠 Now just to clarify the localized color scheme craziness... I do have "rules". First/A/#1 non-negotiable. I will NOT use a color from any other manufacturer. Color schemes and patterns shall be approved by the Machinery Color and Design Expert. So far I've had a Patriot Horse, (RED white and blue). Cinnamon Horse, (RED-ish brown or brownish RED depending on variables). Trina's done 2 as well. Her Pony, (Poppy RED) and The Military Tribute Tractor. (No red paint but it does have RED white and blue lights at the back). The current herd on 2/11/2022 consists of 5 "work clothes" wearing Horses. Trina's 867 Pigpen. My 2 1974 C160 Tecumseh engine tractors. 2 1986 417As to be restored by Trina and I for another Redsquare member. 🤫🤭 Plans for Pigpen are unknown to me. ebinmaine 63,205 #1592 Posted February 13, 2022 So I've been mulling over the front grille situation. I got this old generator from @Oldskool Mike a year or 3 ago. The Head of Tractor and Machinery Design has mentioned using the radiator shell as the grille for Colossus. The size would be about right. The base is around 10" across. 15"+/- wide. 24" tall.
