upstate yank 219 #1 Posted August 31, 2019 well guys here i am again with a different question; i need to remove the electric clutch on my charger 12 model 1-0400-6 and i am not sure what size bolt to use to get it off ;the clutch is a Warner ;any thoughts would be appreciated have a great holiday weekend ; Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

pfrederi 18,685 #5 Posted September 1, 2019 Depending on the age of the PTO it may by 7/8" or 1" NC needed to push it off. Size needed will be self evident upon examination after you remove the 7/16" bolt that goes into the end of the crankshaft. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Size needed will be self evident upon examination after you remove the 7/16" bolt that goes into the end of the crankshaft. thanks so much for the reply and the pictures ;i did try the 5/8 course bolt as another member mentioned but way to small and it seems you are correct as i could be either the 7/8 or even the inch ;i will have to check the hardware stores as i don't have any types here as the 2 you mentioned ;i did remove the electric clutch on the 73 and the 5/8 bolt did work but this one after removing the 7/16 bolt hole is much larger ;so as i mentioned off to the hardware store and it seems i should get both sizes as i am not sure which one will work' thanks again as i really appreciate it ; Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
