A-90 Special?

Recommended Posts

So at first I thought maybe it was a decal... or the dash stand was swapped out, but then I saw the transmission and shifter cover do indeed look to be like a vertical shaft A series.  No, I am not buying it... but it does intrigue me!  This wasn’t a factory setup, was it?  If it was, how did they change the belt orientation?  90 degree gearbox?

Looks like a Briggs swapped in?

Yes, factory setup. The A-90 Special was built as a horizontal shaft with a Briggs engine I think only 1974. :)

It's worth buying if it's cheap enough.  If it runs 100 or less. The transmission looks to be a Tecumseh Peerless 4 speed.

Asking price is 500 I believe, and in the wrong direction.
