Pullstart 67,092 #1 Posted August 17, 2019 So at first I thought maybe it was a decal... or the dash stand was swapped out, but then I saw the transmission and shifter cover do indeed look to be like a vertical shaft A series. No, I am not buying it... but it does intrigue me! This wasn’t a factory setup, was it? If it was, how did they change the belt orientation? 90 degree gearbox? ebinmaine 73,016 #2 Posted August 17, 2019 Looks like a Briggs swapped in?
Racinbob 11,991 #3 Posted August 17, 2019 Yes, factory setup. The A-90 Special was built as a horizontal shaft with a Briggs engine I think only 1974. 5

Lee1977 7,232 #5 Posted August 17, 2019 (edited) It's worth buying if it's cheap enough. If it runs 100 or less. The transmission looks to be a Tecumseh Peerless 4 speed. Edited August 17, 2019 by Lee1977
Pullstart 67,092 #6 Posted August 17, 2019 Asking price is 500 I believe, and in the wrong direction.
