I lost 2 magnets in my 418a flywheel as well as the starter fortunately found 2 that I had saved from the original engine and was wondering if anyone had done this before and what was used to attach them.

Yes I have done that. Glued them back with epoxy. Just clean area well prior to flying them . You also have to make sure the polarity of new ones is correct. Good information about that on Brian Millers site. All you need to know is on there.

You can see the outline of the missing magnets, don't clean it away, may create unbalance. Try to get them as close to the original position. You can use a pocket magnet to determine north and south, they alternate. I use JB weld and hold the magnets in place with spring clamp.

Thanks Oiluj52 I have 2 that remained in position and don't seem inclined to let go so I am spacing the rest off those jb weld seems to be the choice of most people doing this hopefully they will stay put as long as the original.
