I don't particylarly feel like putting the tins back on, at least at the moment, and to be honest it seems to run happier without. Is there any danger to just running nekked? ericj 1,579 #2 Posted August 11, 2019 the engine tins on an air cooled motor are very important, it keeps the air flowing over and around the engine in a particular pattern to keep the motor cool.
