Sparky-(Admin) 22,338 #1 Posted August 2, 2019 Mowed tonight with my C-105 with a 42”SD. Mowed in opposite directions instead of going in circles....came out nice! 10 3

ronhatch 406 #4 Posted August 3, 2019 (edited) Installed 2 1/2" diameter boat trailer rollers on all my decks; Wheel Horse, Case, Cub Cadet, John Deere and of course the Allis Chalmers came with rollers. In addition to the striping, the rollers prevent the deck from scalping because the rollers don't fall into the edging around all my trees, flower beds, etc. like a narrow wheel would A couple of my neighbors mow in a circle, always blowing the grass into the middle and never raking it up. I have a hard time keeping my big mouth shut! I always mow back and forth for that baseball field look Edited August 3, 2019 by ronhatch
Retired Wrencher 5,670 #5 Posted August 3, 2019 (edited) Looking good Mike I see your grass is not all burned from no rain and sun. Do you water it or you have lot of shade? Edited August 3, 2019 by Retierd Wrencher

I don’t water it Gary. I do have some shade, plus I don’t cut it low and tight. I think leaving it a bit long keeps it greener. 1

peter lena 9,126 #9 Posted August 4, 2019 i regularly alternate my cutting angles on the lawn, i also cut at the highest setting , and regularly tow a spiker to help aireate the surface. keeping the blades sharp and the bottom of the deck clean also helps. i use 42" r/ d deck, recently rebuilt, its so smooth and quiet its amazing , pete
