giantsean 59 #1 Posted July 6, 2019 So still dealing w/ this D200 carb. While cleaning the longer main (fast) needle, I noticed the tip was grabbing the cloth I was using to clean with. Got out the magnifier and noticed a couple of SUPER small slots right at the needle tip (the pointy end) where one had a very thin shaving emanating from the tip (almost like a tiny barb). I tried to get a pic of it but it ended up breaking off before I could get into macro mode. Attached is the best pic I can get, where you can kinda see where it got scraped and the indentation left over. There are a few other scratches on the tip in general. Assuming this is not normal but is it all bad or can/should I polish it smooth, or is it better to just leave it alone? wondering what would have had to hit it or rub against it to groove it like that. Bear in mind it's extremely thin. Thx!

troutbum70 858 #4 Posted July 7, 2019 Replacing it with a new one would be better, the tolerances on them is so critical it probably would not seal up tight.
