diesel cowboy 263 #2 Posted July 6, 2019 Not 100% sure on the old Clinton engines but all the other engines I've worked on that had a hole like that between the air filter and carb. went to the breather box on the valves. Check the little rectangular plate behind the bowl on the carb. and you might find a matching hole or a fitting of some kind. Then again it is also somewhere around 50-60 years old and it's possible somebody put it there in the past for some reason.
