ohiofarmer 3,355 #1 Posted July 6, 2019 (edited) I have been all over the internet looking for good BOWL and BAFFLE gaskets [some guys call these diaphragm] for my little 8 HP Kohlers. Jack's Small engines has a repair kit listed that is said to fit all the k-series from k-91 to k-341. The kits also include new needle and seat and float pin. The best deal might be from isaveengines at ten bucks plus .55 sales tax and free shipping. However, they seem to mention some models without confirming that they will fit my tractors. The bowl of the 8 hP appears to fit my Raider10 so maybe they do use the same carb on all the K-series. 1. I wanted to check with you guys first on the carb kits fitting a wide variety of engines from 8 to 16 Horsepower 2. I would also want to know if one of our site vendors sold these kits. Appreciate your help in advance... OH Farmer Edited July 6, 2019 by ohiofarmer
Achto 28,933 #2 Posted July 6, 2019 (edited) Most of the K series engines all use the same carb rebuild kit. I usually order an OEM shop pack from this site once a year. http://www.psep.biz/store/kohler_carburetor_parts.htm Why? Between dragging new tractors home & friends & family stopping by asking "do you have one of these?" I tend to go through a shop pack every year. ohiofarmer 3,355 #3 Posted July 6, 2019 Thanks for the helpful info. With 5 engines in the barn and probably all ten to twenty years old gaskets, my path is clear...
daveoman1966 3,829 #4 Posted July 6, 2019 I have THREE carb kits for Kohler K-91 thru K-301 on Ebay for $23.... all three kits for one price. Bowl gasket, diaphram gasket, needle &^ seat, and a few other small parts. I've use Stens kits for years...not ever a problem. These are just leftovers from an old-time dealer. richmondred01 2,289 #5 Posted July 6, 2019 90% of the time I use Kohler rebuild kits but I get them at cost. The stens kits are good and you should have no issues.
