C & D series- help me figure out what I want

I'm going to go against the grain here and say a zero turn would be the best bang for your buck with all that mowing.  There'd be no having to use a push mower to get close to anything, it's by far faster then any tractor I've seen mow and it'll cut your mowing time easily in half.

You could keep the 520 for snow duties or trade it for a c series to do the same thing.

I'd avoid a d series and I've  had a few.  While good tractors when maintained, parts and attachments are scarce then expensive when you do find some.  The turning radius is huge and are like driving a dump truck around (big, heavy and slow).

Just another thought for you to consider.

Some very good points- I did mow the place a couple times with a neighbors Ferris 60” zturn but it just was not as enjoyable as a tractor for me. Fast and efficient but not as much fun; I enjoy the process. For me it seems a tractor with 48” deck is the sweet spot.

good advice on the d series- I’ve never seen one in person and didn’t realize the were so big. The size is really my only complaint with my 520 (well, the Onan engine isn’t a Kohler) - it just seems bigger than necessary. I’d like a smaller tractor but keep the 48” deck and I think I’d have my ideal setup.

after mowing for all of thow's hours you might change your mind. I don't mind mowing, but there are times that I just want to get it done and move on to something else, my life is to busy  to spend all day on a mower
