My father is pretty close to you. He is a cement plant manager. Off of Vicki and NE 4th. Buzzi Unicem USA

I had an issue with the motor today, no spark. I worked this afternoon on it ad just about gave up when I decided to clean the points one more time. Not expecting it to fire I just reached around and hit the ignition. It fired just fine and I cannout hear a thing since the exhaust was in my ear...I killed it quick. Hope I did not disturb the neighbors...LOL

Yes, thats the open header. I am looking for info on building a baffle for it. I am trying to find where the sweet spot may be on a single cylinder 4 stroke motor...

Cool Deal. I hear that, grass will be knee high before it dry's out.

Did you get that front wheel toe-in worked out? They make / or made a HD spindle kit for it. If I remember right it came with wheels, tires, and maybe new tie rods. Mike C-Series 14 put a set on one of his a few years ago. He could tell you for sure Part number and what all came with the kit.

I am just starting to work on that issue. I am thinking of a 520 front end...I wonder if the 520 spindles will work in the 416 axle...I can then look at the bearing sizes in the front wheels.

I believe they will. That HD Spindle kit if I remember right was for a 520 series, but fits all the Long frame tractors. I'll shoot Mike a PM and see for sure though.

IF you do build an Ark, I'm dying to see what you would select as an appropriate "pair" of Horses to bring aboard for posterity! :omg:

On the bright side, at least you could start gardening on Mt. Ararat as soon as you landed!

I just painted the 12x7 wheels and had the Duro 23x10.5-12 tires mounted.

Then I did some yardwork...I really need some differnt front tires though. The turf tread would not bite good in the dirt and the tractor would slip instead of turn.

I was looking through my paints and discovered some Ceramic Red 1200 degree paint that I used on my Corvette brakes. I never had an issue with the paint flaking off the brake calipers and I know they got glowing hot several times. I have 5 coats on the header and letting it dry. I will cure it in the oven at 300 degrees for 2 hours.(Just dont let my wife find out)

I hope you never had your calipers glowing! Your rotors should be taking all of the heat and glowing but the calipers would NEVER get that hot.
