Tractor boy 239 #1 Posted June 25, 2019 Oh boy, sorry guys but this is going to be a book. In the spring my brother kept driving around with the lift arm down on his 312. I kept telling him need to put that up, you'll snap that off. Well he didn’t listen and snapped it off in late April. Je didn’t notice it until I pointed out that it was dragging underneath the tractor buy the chain. Pulled it off and found that one of the “ears” (dowel thing) broke off. So pulled it off and sent it to a welding buddy. Fast forward a couple weeks...well more like a month and a half. And here we are. Just got it back and im wondering what needs to happen to remarry it to its rightful spot on the frame. So i guess I’m looking for ideas. Thanks tractorboy . Ps diagram with piece coming soon as i can find it.

953 nut 60,391 #5 Posted June 26, 2019 If you have an engine hoist or chain-fall and can lift the front of the tractor nearly vertical it becomes easier to get at.

Do not remove transmission. Let me reword this Put bushing on left shaft Put shaft into left frame hole Put shaft into right hole Slide bushing into left frame hole Instal e-clip to keep it there. It is the larger hole on the left side that allows you to tip the shaft into position. Once it is there the bushing centers the shaft in the hole. Garry You have to do it like stated above because the right hole is a blind hole it doesn't go all the way through that why one c-clip hold's it in place.
