Got this last night, not currently running,  needs some rewiring,  battery, troubleshooting.....claimed it ran about 5 years ago, 180$ for the whole shabang!!! Not a wheelhorse plow that I can tell, but parts is parts!!! Only real downside, it was a looooooooooooooooooonng drive to get it.  Whew!!!! I reflected on some of my life choices,  whew!!!!

It's just setting on there for now,  seems to be a homemade bracket for mounting the plow, holds the hood up

That's a sweet ride!! What a deal on the price!!

I'm really thinking that you should haul some of your new toys to Garden Tractor Daze in Portage.

I bought a 854 about a year ago or as I was told stole it not in running condition. Turned out to be a stuck exhaust valve from sitting a few years. Hope your fix is easy for you to get her up and running.  I'm sure it will be.  Keep us informed.  Oh by the way nice ride.....

I think there should be another tin that goes over the top of the motor to the air moving in the right direction. Could be why the valve got hot.

Good call!!!  The engine actually came with another head that was painted up nice and red...have no idea idea why they were swapped out,  and maybe the top shroud got lost in the shuffle, or he was planning on changing them.  Found a top shroud on Ebay,  MINES NOW!!

Nice ride!  How far did you travel for it?

Well,  just over 200 miles one way, which didn't seem that far at the time, but once I got on the highway, I did reflect on my life choices, sold the plow yesturday for 30$, help recoup some of my sanity

Your missing the front tin head cover and the back head cover. Don't run it long without them :angry-nono:. Hell of a deal, well worth a 400 mile round trip.

Well, I got a new switch wired up, and SHE RUNS!!!! Gonna have to clean the carb, only runs fully choked, and make some adjustments, me thinks.  I'm just pleased though.  Also found some head tins on Ebay, so gonna waite on those before I do much more runnin of the engine. :)
