Ag tires, what sizes

Recommended Posts

cowboy2420

I'm looking to replace my turf tires with some ag tires. Mine say they are 6.00 X 12.00 on the back, is there a good resonable place to purchase them ? or is this tire size outdated with a newer size to look for...Thanks :omg:

You can get them in many places. Tire shops, Tractor Supply, Farm Supply store, Toro dealers but they are more expensive there. They are not outdated. Check with Carlisle Tire Company who makes many of these tires. They have a website you can download the catalog if you like.

6-12 Tires can be had at pretty much anywhere you buy tires, they'll just have to be ordered. Hardly anybody stocks them anymore.

They are still labeled as 6-12 size. There are online sources and ebay sellers that can have good prices but you might try a local tire shop. I have a auto/farm tire shop down the street that doesnt cost much more than online prices plus they mount the tires.

Edit: Guess I was typing slow today, got a few answers posted already. My local shop stocks most tire but they stock tons of tires and were in a farming rural community.

K-morrow on E-bay. He's got them in his store. Avg. price $105 for a pair. If you need just one, I can help you.(who really need just one though) :omg:

looking for a little bigger stance. I need new tires and want to replace my dry rotted rear turf savers with some ag's. the manual says 18x9.50-8 and fronts are 15x6.00-6. can i get bigger tires without any problems ( fender contact or turning radius ) or should I stay stock. I would like a bigger stance for the tractor though.
