62vetteefp 0 #1 Posted April 6, 2009 I have a 64 round nose Lawn Ranger with the hood split between the 2 parts. It split right at the bend where they overlap. Anybody have an idea how to repair? Hood is perfect except for this.
Kelly 1,033 #2 Posted April 6, 2009 Line it back up and tack weld it on the inside, do it in about 10 or 15 spots and you should be all set.
BPjunk 184 #3 Posted April 6, 2009 After spot welding as Kelly mentioned be sure to install the hood properly with the front mounting tab on the inside of the frame cross member not out in front. I have always believed that the cracks on the left sides of the old round hoods started because heat from the exhaust keep the right side dry but the left side held moisture.
