handyhippie65 3 #1 Posted June 2, 2019 when i was a kid in the 70's, i remember the local wheel horse dealer had one with no front axle, i think it was called an air horse. was it real, or made by them? i have only ever seen the one. it balanced on the rear tires and turned with the steering wheel. been looking for one for over 40 years. ZXT 2,401 #10 Posted June 3, 2019 I'd seen pictures but I figured it was someone's home made creation. Cool to see that they were factory built. I guess they used some sort of turning brakes for steering? I've seen pictures of a few 6 wheel horses, and I think even one on tracks. Surely those were home built? I'll have to read through the thread that Richard linked.

WHX?? 51,916 #12 Posted June 3, 2019 I always thought they could be repurposed to move trailers & boats around. Some kind of ball mounted on a stand on the wheel chocks. Drive up to the trailer lift her up and go. Never have to get off the tractor. Now that would be slicker than snot on a door knob! Not my tractor 'Fish ... CL sighting so could be yours for a Frankin! Weights are worth that. If the guy wanted yellow why didn't he just get a CC?!?!?

Cylinders mount to the hub style wheels on the carriage. Must have a control valve of sorts off the steering wheel.

Hey Jim - someone on the forum already bought that and made a post about it a day or two ago. Edit: Here's the thread Edited June 3, 2019 by ZXT
