2300 hour B43G

So my brother has a tractor with a B43G and I was wondering the longevity of the onans. He got it for 100$ from the neighbour, he said it had a fuel pump issue but my brother didn't even test to see if the pump was bad, he just immediately went to tearing the tractor down to do whatever to it. It's been sitting since 2016 I think, and the motor is tight, but he thinks its because the driveshaft is compressed from the motor not bolting in correctly. The hour meter says something like 2314 hours, so I'm concerned it's toast. Haven't checked oil or anything, but I think it has some. Any problems that would arise? Also, how would I go about test running it?

So I looked at the motor and I was unable to determine if it had any oil leaks or not. Guess I'll have to look it over a bit better. For now I have to focus on my 317 and getting this magnum 18 for it.

There's certain a plethora of issues that could arise from a 2300 hour engine that is unexpectedly tight.. Before I asked anything, I woudl've checked the oil to see if it was clean, or nasty with gunk and metal shavings. I would check the oil level and oil the cylinders before I turned it over too much.

Does it sound like anything is overly loose when turning it over? Any rod noise?

As for test running it, I would do it the same as running any other engine. Make sure it has clean oil and good gas in it, and give it a go. Not much you could hurt.

I think something's not right, the driveshaft is severely compressed from something. Would that cause the engine to feel tight?
