Sarge 3,465 #1 Posted May 28, 2019 I have several of the Kohler adjustable jet carburetors I need to overhaul. Already finished fully clearance cutting the shaft bores and have installed full-length bronze liners. Seems all the parts lookups have changed a lot and I can't find the numbers for replacement shafts. Most of the older K-series shafts are discontinued, but there are a ton of NOS still available out there - just need the part numbers. Anyone have a parts book handy? #26 carb - 47 053 13 #30 carb - A237771 Just need those shaft numbers. No idea why Kohler took away access to look up the part numbers like we used to be able to do - but it makes repairing these old monsters a little tougher. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,492 #2 Posted May 28, 2019 Should be in this manual. Hard to read because there is a left and right page. Garry
Sarge 3,465 #3 Posted May 28, 2019 Ha! That is exactly the book I was referring to - at one time I had the pdf file but it died along with the ssd in the old computer - along with a lot of other things. Thanks, Garry, as usual. Sarge
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,492 #4 Posted May 28, 2019 A while back I was trying to document the air filters we use and all the popular Kohler filters showed up as no longer available. Persistence paid off as I learned the filters for the most part come with a foam pre-cleaner now so of course a different part number. They failed to post a superseded part number which would have been just as easy as changing the status to nla. Another company that does not realize the best customer they will ever get is the one they already got. Wonder if they did the same with what you are looking for.
