jellyghost 378 #1 Posted May 25, 2019 (edited) I need some help trouble shooting and maybe hot wiring my C-101. During a mow, the tractor chugged a few times, and it seemed like it was running out of gas. 100 yards later it died. When trying to start it (and jump it), it did not even turn over or try. In addition, the gas tank was full and gas was in the line. I think it is an electrical problem. When visually inspecting the wires, I only found one thing amiss. What is this called? The post with the lower yellow connector has pulled out of the block. Can I bypass this? Is it possible the problem is somewhere else? Thank you! gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,513 #2 Posted May 25, 2019 Looks like the 104680 pto switch. Click on the pictures The 2 pairs of black wires are joined when the pto is OFF and that powers the ignition. If your seat switch works your ignition should still work as long as the operator is in the seat.Just isolate the black wires at the pto switch so they can not short against chassis metal. The red wires control the starter. They are joined when the pto is OFF Garry
Ed Kennell 35,908 #3 Posted May 25, 2019 Did you disengage the PTO when you tried to start it?

I will still try to find a new pto switch just because it looks cooked. Thank you, and sorry for missing the obvious.
