Just a little teaser: hopefully if time permits there will be finished photos this coming weekend. Just need to do some final touch-ups/ detail work/ fine tuning.....

After much thought, added some accent to the hood; also made my own step pads, eliminating the un-needed holes and making the needed holes smaller so that there is little to no red showing thru when installed.

I am lost for words (again)....except that you remind me, my 518H needs foot pads. I can't really see from your pictures, but I think you used stainless coach bolts for the steps (I did too!)

Good grief that machine is amazing. They didn't look that good when new!

The hood accents are gorgeous!

After all that work, and the spectacular results, does it get retired into a glass case somewhere? :D

BTW, where did you source the footpad material?

And with that I'm gonna call it done :happy-partydance:   Scuffed it, buffed it, detailed it, and stickered it. I can honestly say that the purchase of the tractor and the ensuing restoration is what has led me back to spending time with Horses and to being a vendor here on Red Square. It all started with a different way home from work, this tractor sitting along the road with a for sale sign on it , and my dad telling me "I know where there's a bunch of NOS parts and hubcaps to fit that" and here we are.

WHX??

Didn't follow this thread like I should have my bad... :hide: so went back and read cover to cover.

Any one who has ever worked on a 520 or similar model can appreciate  the time and effort that went into this. The attention given every fastener and then the yes the wiring!

Then all the great pics! We salute you sir. :handgestures-salute: not enough :thumbs2:

Indeed, like seeing a new one in the showroom. I’d love to see it in person, I’m sure pictures can’t do it justice..
