Matthewahtoys 0 #1 Posted April 4, 2009 I purchased in 1992 this Zero turn mower Wheel Horse 612-Z or model Y1-120E01. It has never given me 1 days trouble in 17 years. I lent it to a friend and he brought it back with the left side transaxle gears broke. The part number is 119570 but it has long since been discontinued. Is there any company who rebuilds these? I've been told that Eaton was the original manufacturer. Does anyone know where I might start to look for a used one? Any help would be appreciated. Nick 13 #2 Posted April 4, 2009 Sorry to hear about your Z. Did it just take the gears? They often punch a hole right out of the case when they do go. I was told it often was caused by leaving the parking brake on then hitting the hydro control. The single hydro units are NLA so now the left and right sides have to be purchased as a complete unit. The cost is way to high. Finding a good used left side might be the best bet for keeping it going. They were great little Zs, bought a 616-Z in 1990 but sold it after a few years.
