How To Seal Fuel Tank Pingel Grommet???

Recommended Posts

WildmanC120

So I have a C-160 with the black fuel tank. it has the large hole on the bottom with the large grommet and pingel that fits tight in the center.  I can never get these to seal and always leak.  Just tried mowing my lawn and its just pouring gas all over.  I just replaced it a few months ago too.  What does everyone do to seal these up?  Thanks

It shouldn't be a problem. I'm thinking your tank is cracked or messed up in some way. The only time I've had a leak is when the line put an odd tension on it and pulled on it sideways. Straightened that out and it was fine. :)

Thanks fellas.  I'll have to look for a tank. I do not see any cracks so the actual hole might be just messed up enough.
