Rick 55 BB 24 #1 Posted April 29, 2019 Ok here's my question , I have been trying to attach my tiller to 74 raider 8 . It has no provision for a rock shaft under the seat , so I just ran the cable straight to the lift handle rocker shaft on the lowest hole . To lift the tiller it's extremely hard no matter where I hook the cable on the lift handle or on the tiller even with 2 assist springs attached . So should I just buy a rear rock shaft and switch everything to another tractor that has the holes under the seat for it or is there something I can do to use it on this tractor ? This is the better of my 3 tractors if you were wondering why I haven't switched them already . Any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm getting old and my lift by strong arm is pretty much gone . lol
JAinVA 4,636 #2 Posted April 29, 2019 (edited) You probably should put on an appropriate rockshaft on another machine. If you use 2 springs and it is difficult to raise the tiller on the Raider that should give the answer. One spring should do you if you go to another machine.JMHO Edited April 29, 2019 by JAinVA

Tiller works like a charm , tilled my whole garden in less than a half hour , even though it was a little wet . Thanks again
