ronhatch 406 #1 Posted April 28, 2019 (edited) Looking to replace just the bearing in a number of my mower deck idlers that contact the back side of the deck belt and keep it tight. Can anyone supply me with a number. I think they pretty much all use the same bearing; a double row sealed ball bearing. Lee1977 7,232 #2 Posted April 28, 2019 (edited) Never saw a double row idler from Wheel Horse and I have had a wheel Horse for 42 years. I have seen that Stens makes a double row No. 28048 - 4 3/8" OD x 3/8" ID and 1 3/16" wide with cheap unsealed bearing. The Toro Wheel Horse No. 93-1622 use a single row bearing No.1632 sealed with a 5/8' to 3/8" pressed in spacer. ' Edited April 29, 2019 by Lee1977
953 nut 60,403 #3 Posted April 28, 2019 Your best bet would be to remove one and take it to an industrial supply house to match it up or look it up by size on McMaster-Carr.

Do you plan on separating the idlers halves to replace the just the bearing? If so get the bearing out and measure the od x id x width. In millimeters if you can. Then it will be an easy cross. Odds are it will be a common bearing you will find anywhere. Some of the more common idlers it might be less hassle just to replace the entire idler say if Stens or after market has them cheap. I you decide to dig the bearing out we can help with that too if this is your plan. https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/topic/61433-pulleys-idlers-for-free/?tab=comments#comment-570677
