Retired Wrencher 4,880 #1 Posted April 25, 2019 Today I am back in the game. Not a wannabe any more I found this today, was looking for something bigger but this showed up. I do not like driving at night any more so they where there in the day time so I rented a truck and headed down the highway. It works well the dirt was about 10 minutes and done. It needs some minor TLC but that is part of the game. Saving the walking trail we walk with the dogs every day. I hope you enjoy the picks. Happy to have a tractor again and back in the Chace. 12 10 1

I belive you are right on the year. You'll be very happy with that. My 8 horse pushes dirt just fine. The only reason I switched to a different tractor is because mine has kind of a valve ticking that I don't want to make worse by taxing the engine too much.
ebinmaine 63,218 #12 Posted April 26, 2019 You'll probably do very well with that having weights and chains on the back. If you find any steering or traction issues, get all four tires fluid-filled. Huge difference.

Forgot how much those plow weight when lifting them up. I think blade is not NOS but works fine.

I really did not need a tractor but I guess I just need something to tinker with. 2

The fuel lines where bad on it so I did a quick change on the lines to see how it plows. Need to find the bushing and shut off today. Pullstart 59,750 #17 Posted April 26, 2019 By those pictures, you sure did need one! It’s funny how perspective is different between some. When my 502 was just a 502, it was a beast indeed. Now that it’s 8 hp, 8 speed, I feel like it’s an unstoppable monster! I do see how the grunt of the big block has it’s advantages, but the 8 horse is a force to be reckoned with. Congrats on your find!
Retired Wrencher 4,880 #18 Posted April 26, 2019 Thanks Pullstart: These always where great little tractors. I have had about 5 of these in the past. But they always where good little tractors. I even had a no name 8 one time good power but bad design with the tranny set up.

The 1973 no name 8`s had long shafts on the tyranny's and small tires on the back I belive 3 holes in the rim. It was just like the B80`s but with these changes. It was a design they came up with the save $$. I belive but was only one year thank God Then in 74 the first B80 was introduced. I may have some picks if you like to see them. I am off to get bushing and fuel shut off now. let me know.
ebinmaine 63,218 #21 Posted April 26, 2019 No worries Gary. I know what you mean now. I didn't realize they had those on the 1973 8. I can definitely see why you would not be super fond of that set up.

clueless 2,898 #25 Posted April 26, 2019 I started a list of some of my GT's and parts that I plan on selling, I plan on keeping the round hoods and the '77 C160 auto. But everytime I look at the '77 B80 I think about taking it off the list , truth is it's probably the best GT I've ever owned and I've owned a lot of them in the past 45 years. Besides it's the C160's little brother. 1
