Coadster32 793 #1 Posted April 2, 2009 Got a call from a freind about a few horses for sale. Around here, the Bargain News gets out to JQ Public on Thursday. My buddy gets it Wed. A 656 with a freed up 6hp techy A 800 Workhorse with a freed up 8hp cast iron techy Three plows, one snowblower, and one two wheel dump trailer. Supposedly the 800 has new electronic ignition, new piston and connecting rod, and a new starter. All tires hold air, exept on the trailer. Both engines have compression. Both came with cutting decks. Not sure if they're freed up yet. Took all for $200. No guns needed. He also had a 401 with tranny all rusted up internally. Hood wasn't cut. Still thinking about going back for the rescue. I was also supposed to get a service book for the older techys.
Operator 7 #2 Posted April 2, 2009 Under the cover of darkness you slipped in and scored! That blade on back, is it that big? or just looks like it? Randy

Guest fireman #4 Posted April 2, 2009 Nice haul Chris especially for the price . Does the 401 have an engine? If you aren't going to go get, let me know Jeff
Coadster32 793 #5 Posted April 2, 2009 If you aren't going to go get, let me know Funny you should say that. The guy just called me, and was asking if I was definatly going to buy it. Seems that a Steve from Danbury was interested. Do we know this guy? . Good thing I get to see the BN on Wed. Steve, you're on the ball. All of these I could consider for sale if RS members want them before I wrench on them. Once I turn a wrench and get them running, they'll be worth more. The 401 tranny is locked, but the hood isn't cut up. It's got a nice set of AG's on it also. Just like the pics, everything was dark there too. I just loaded up. Coadster32 793 #14 Posted April 5, 2009 Thanks guys. I re-aranged my garage today to make room, instead of shoe-horning them in. There seems to be plenty of room for them now. I posted some pics of the 401 in the "CT meet and greet sucess" thread. Check it out. :omg:
