when you say driveshaft I assume you're talkin about the shaft that goes from inside the transmission out to the wheel hub. That is 1"

I'm curious to know why you need that measurement? Are you looking for seals or something?

Thanks. Yes. Well the tecky is running erratically and I dont have time to fool with it right now.  I am going to rebuild it over the winter and for now put a predator on it to finish out my season.

I am going to need an adapter sleeve and trying to figure out what size.. I *think* from what you are saying, that will be:

3/4" to 1" Inch w/Step Key Gas Engine Pulley Crank Shaft Sleeve Adapter Predator.. 2.5" length..

Okay. I understand.

When you say drive shaft what you actually mean is the engine crankshaft.

I'm fairly sure that is still 1" but I'm not at all familiar with those Predator engines or how to adapt it into place.

Yes, sorry I should have said crank shaft.  I think the engine will just need a shim under it or sorts.. like 1/4" and then the crank adapter and should line up fine.

Other people have done this swap of course. You could search around on the site and get a fair amount of information.

Do you have 3/4", 7/8" and 1" open ended wrenches? They make a poor man's caliper for such measurements.

Purchasing a pulley with the correct ID for the Predator engine may be cheaper than an adaptor.
