Fuel filters

Any suggestions for adding at fuel filter to models that did not come with filters originally.  My 50th Anniversary 314-8 did not come with a fuel filter.  What filter should I use?

Any small inline filter should work.

Any small inline fuel filter thats double  barbed or flared to fit inside rubber fuel lines will work. Some like the clear filters which act as a visual aid for fuel flow or even the small briggs and Stratton plastic discs that are basically just an inline screen to capture particles will work. They are WH red to boot

Those clear plastic filters work well but I have had more than one that became air locked when first filling with fuel or when you run out of gas. Take the outlet hose off and get fuel flowing and all is good.

I now always use two of them. I remove the screen from inside tank since eventually always gets clogged and it is a pain to clean tank. I place the first one right out side tank. That one gets changed frequently since it always show crud in it.

if you go on amazon  and search fuel filters there should be a 12 or 14 pack of filters that fit in all of my machines.
