WHwest8597 85 #1 Posted April 18, 2019 (edited) I have been having problems with my 315-8. It starts and idles fine. When I put it into gear it will run about 15 minutes and wants to shut off. Edited April 18, 2019 by WHwest8597
stevasaurus 23,307 #2 Posted April 18, 2019 I'm thinking you mean it will run about 50 minutes and then wants to shut off. If you can not re-start it (if it does shut off) for about 20 to 30 minutes, and then it will start again, it could be a bad coil. A bad condenser can also cause this. Condensers are cheap, coils are not. I would change out the condenser, and if you have a second horse...swap the coil and see if the problem is fixed. Do them one at a time, so you can identify the issue.
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,613 #3 Posted April 18, 2019 I know when my 314-8 did something similar to this, it was a fuel filter. Also, check the vent hole in the gas cap to be sure it's clear and not clogged.
WHwest8597 85 #4 Posted April 18, 2019 I put a new fuel filter on the other day when I changed the oil. I did notice a few big air bubbles in the filter. I took the filter off and put it back on. Everything seems to be working now.
