WH656 9 #1 Posted April 16, 2019 (edited) Hi all, For the cost I thought I might give this engine a slight upgrade. I think my 656 takes a 631067A carb.. but where do we find one made in USA? Also, are point.. points? I dont know anything about them.. can they be made to order? Edited April 16, 2019 by WH656

I do not know of any US made carbs but others have had good luck with the $30 China carbs from . Your engine may have solid state ignition (would have or had a decal on it that states this), if it does it would not have points. I would need the engine model number to know for sure. If you do have points here is a link for a source for them. http://www.psep.biz/store/tecumseh_points_and_condensers.htm The same place also has carbs if you are interested in them. http://www.psep.biz/store/tecumseh_carburetors.htm

Howie 899 #6 Posted April 17, 2019 I do not believe a Tecumseh from the mid 60's had solid state on it yet. I do not know when they changed over.Do know they used two different point sets, over the years but have not seen a lot of the one type over the years.
