Recommendations for small engine repair upstate Ny

Ive been trying to correct a rough running problem on my wheel horse 520xi with a kohler engine. Had no lock so far looking for someone that services / repairs these locally for a reasonable price.

Not from your neck of the woods so can't make a specific recommendation. Most equipment rental places have a mechanic they use, call around and ask them who to use.

almost all places in my area charge the same hourly rate as a car mechanic.  maybe find someone who does side work.  alot of places by me won't even touch the older stuff anymore.

for me it's a hobby I do it all myself, if I don't know how I find you tube videos

Thanks for the advice i messaged a local guy here and he seemed pretty fair/ knowledgeable so i may see what he thinks im pretty handy but this has been ongoing and i cant seem to get it right.
