ed4stoy99@yahoo.com 2 #1 Posted April 12, 2019 I'm new to this so sorry if it's been asked before but why is gas coming out of this hole? I put all new gaskets on it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

305 380 #8 Posted April 13, 2019 (edited) green horn or old pro, you give us nothing to go on........what is the make and model of motor ? i'm not sure if any Wheelhorses had an engine with an actual valve cover ? Edited April 13, 2019 by
ed4stoy99@yahoo.com 2 #9 Posted April 13, 2019 Also when gas is coming out of the valve cover the motor still runs like a top.
squonk 43,843 #10 Posted April 13, 2019 If by valve cover you mean breather cover your fuel pump is leaking gas into the oil. Do not run engine anymore until fixed!
ed4stoy99@yahoo.com 2 #11 Posted April 13, 2019 And there is the problem. Just checked the oil and it's like a cup of coffee..Black and thin. Damn ...Thanks for the advice. 1
oldredrider 2,553 #12 Posted April 13, 2019 Drain the crankcase. Pull the carb and clean and inspect it thoroughly. Chances are your carb float is stuck causing gas to leak into the crankcase. 1
pfrederi 18,690 #13 Posted April 13, 2019 Or you fuel pump diaphragm has failed and it is letting gas into the crank case....
squonk 43,843 #14 Posted April 13, 2019 His engine runs fine. That's why I said fuel pump. Check both to be positive
