H60 head bolts... all or just the three?

Winter has released its grip on the 654 so it's time to see what ales....🍺 her. Spins over good with 95 psi. Considering it's going on 55, thought that was good. No spark so I'm going after the points.

 

Gotta pull three head bolts to get the shroud off.

Do you think I should loosen all eight then pull the three or just the three alone.

I will replace the head gasket and do the valves at a later date.

Just want to get her running for now.

I'm curious to see what the others are going to say about this as well. 

 

I believe the engine tech actual answer is that you need to loosen ALL of the head bolts because they need to be tightened back into the correct torque sequence.

 

I'm not positive it's on your engine in particular but I've heard of people only removing those three, multiple times over the years.

Just wanting to get her running, I would think you could do just the 3...knowing you are going to change out the head gasket later.  Like Eric, I would think the correct way is to loosen them all and torque correctly.  :confusion-confused:When in doubt, loosen all and re-tourque.

just take them all out then you can decarbon the head a quick 15 minute job
