416 H vs 516 H

Guys,

I have an opportunity to get ahold of a late 416 H (Toro) Wheelhorse. I'm not sure at this point just what year it is but it does have the hydro levers on the steering column. It appears to be in pretty good condition although it has sat outside under tarp for several years now. Owner says he parked it after use one fall season and the next spring he could not get it to start so he tarped it and bought another tractor. I'm not afraid of what it will take to get it to run but my curiosity has me wondering if there are any mechanical differences from the 400 series to the 500 series such as hydro pump, etc. Thanks in advance for any responses.................Gary

416-h should have the Eaton 1100 with a filter and the 516-H has the Eaton 700 without a filter.

Always go with the Eaton 1100 over the 700 :handgestures-thumbupleft:.

Thanks guy's. I was hoping the 416 H model had the better transmission. I still have not heard whether I will get this tractor or not but my hopes are high and if I do I will take photos of it and post them here on Red Power..................Gary
